How do you find the time? – Z and Cinder’s Blog challenge #27

I am late with the Blog Challenges.

Oh, the irony, right? When the topic is indeed;

How do you find the time?

Anyone else noticed it getting harder and harder to get everything done in game that you want to? Playing a game like World of Warcraft can really take up a lot of your time, especially if you want to do it all! So our latest topic is…

How do you find the time?

How do you balance playing WoW with the real life commitments you have? Are there things you give up in your life to be able to play WoW, or vice versa? What do you to do make the most of your pay time? Let us know!

Gosh. A post without screenshots. How will I ever make it through! 😛

Anyway.

I have noticed, that it is getting harder and harder to do everything in the game, that I want to, thank you very much!

I am still struggling. I have about an hour a day to play. It’s not a lot.

Sometimes I am honestly considering to just quit it all together.

I am at risk for burning out very easily in Legion, I have discovered.

So, I suppose I have to answer yes to the question…

“Are there things you give up in WoW to play real life” (see what I did there… :P)

Raiding. Oh, especially when a new raid is released, I miss it so much. I used to be part of a great raiding team. The best on our server even. Where they would ask you to take a day off work on patch day, so we could raid at 9 AM in the morning. Good times. Crazy times. Fond memories. I loved belonging to a group of healers, that would get together to discuss tactics and eventually overcome every challenge together, optimizing every little thing. And the social aspect. Oh, belonging to a guild. I miss that.

I guess the list of what I give up in WoW is quite long. But yeah. The big thing is raiding.

Another big thing for me is

Alts. I used to have a Melee alt and a Ranged DPS alt. It was great to be able to switch depending on the mood I was in. They participated in the Alt raiding too. But I no longer have time for it.

I am very fortunate to have truly great friends in game though. Some who even spend time doing things, that saves me time. Like, obtaining a pet from a Holiday Event for me, so I won’t have to miss out on it. I am quite the completionist. Bad combination with little game time, hah.

But yes, I am so blessed with such caring friends, always ready to have a good time with me as well.

Gosh, a screenshot, how did that get here! (My paw skills are maxed out.)

…Then there is my blog. Which I like! It is often done on the go, from and to work, out with deliveries, and what not. I upload screenshots, so they are stored already, and write on the go. Works wonders and saves time.

My blog actually helps too, because, even though I feel as if I get “omg nothing at all!1!11!1” done, I can look back and see, that that is actually not the case at all!

I have begun to write lists of what I want done, in order to make the most of my time.

And I tend to try to do less “daily grind” things…

ANOTHER screenshot? Seriously, I don’t know where they are coming from. This post was suppose to be one without screenshots, wasn’t it? Sorry about that…

…But no matter what I do, I hardly ever know in advance. I can log on, and was meant to do a certain thing, then stop and wonder, if it’s something I want to actually spend time on that evening. And if not, I move to a thing on my list, that I am in the mood for.

I guess that’s more or less it 🙂

I wonder, which things do you give up on in WoW to play real life? 😉

Oh, and a shout out!

Please welcome a new blogger to our little beloved blogging community 🙂

Zeshio is riiiight over here, he has been lurking for a while, but finally took the jump to start his own blog, and what a start he is off to.

You can find him over at the Arakian Tour, where you will have the pleasure of getting introduced to Phester, the Gnome, as he journey through the Spires of Arak.

So if gorgeous screenshots, immersive storytelling and appreciation of even the smallest of details is your thing, then curl up on the couch and enjoy 🙂

  1. I’ve definitely had the same problem with time lately. I moved into my own place for the first time a few months back and my schedule’s been really slammed, but it’s still surprising just how much you can do in-game, even if you can only log on 2-4 times a week. Less is more sometimes as well if you put quality of what you’re doing over quantity, such as hanging out with friends, or doing the things you really want to do, as opposed to grinds.

Thanks so much for the shout-out! I get kind of nervous when people I don’t know visit. I didn’t think about people actually visiting, I just did it as a way for me to explore the zone more thoroughly. It’s fun, though, sharing.

    1. Oh, thank you for sharing that 🙂 Glad to hear I am not alone feeling that way; if you have so little time, your blog posts sure show dedication!

But with such limited time, I guess we will never be the ones to say “I’m bored” 🙂

Aww, nervous even? But that it ok 🙂 Glad you are having fun though, sharing it too!

  2. It seems to be a malady of the time thing for some of us. I always want to play, however, this time of year, the schedule is not conducive to getting all of my stuff done like I want too. Also, I’ve enjoyed your pictures and blogs so much Alunaria – keep up the good work. 😀

    1. Hah well, I guess, we will never ever be bored in WoW, and that is actually a great thing to me 🙂 It would be far worse to log on and not know what to do!

Aw, well thank you so much for taking the time to let me know, and for appreciating it, it is really encouraging. Thanks again 🙂
