Let’s Craft: Geeky gamer quotes for Christmas Calendars (Including Comedy Night feat. the return of the Seacrew!)

Hah, what a title for a post.

I wanted to have made this far earlier, but chicken pox invaded our house and so, I was on a strict timetable… (Name that boss quote!)

Anyway. I made a Christmas Calendar for hubby this year, and normally real life rarely makes it way into this blog, but this is somewhat WoW related too, so maybe it can still help inspire someone to make a Christmas Calendar for their own spouse and loved one πŸ™‚

I found a few quotes online and made some up myself.

If you are not into the lovey-dovey stuff, then just skip those πŸ™‚
(In case you are wondering about the exact number of quotes; since hubby has the Christmas Calendar at work, I just made it for the weekdays he is there, not weekends and holidays in December. Not all of them are included in the Calendar.

But I am sure you can grab a few more if you want a full 24 quotes πŸ™‚ )

And who’s better to introduce these quotes, than the one and only – finally they return here at Comedy Night…

“The Seacrew”, ladies and gentlemen!

(Screenshots made using the toy Magic Pet Mirror, and Narcissa’s Mirror, and aΒ  Pet Biscuits πŸ™‚ Oh, and a glyph to remove and add Orca as Travel Form, so the pet looked like the Sea Lion instead)

The random ones (none related to gaming)

β€œ I am the proud wife of an imperfect husband. You are the only one in the world who can tolerate my madness. ”

β€œ You are just like bacon. You make everything better ”

I love being married. It’s so great to have found the one special person, I want to annoy for the rest of my life.”

In case you want the lovey-dovey ones too, I include them here πŸ™‚

β€œ I love you, not just because you are my husband, but because I know, that you always wish the best for me. ”

β€œThe smartest choice I will ever make is staying by your side.”

β€œ If I could live my life again, next time, I would find you sooner…”

“When I walk into a room full of people,Β I always look for you first.”

β€œ The only thing better than having you as my husband is our son having you as his dad ”

β€œ The best thing I ever did was to let you be the one to take care of my heart. ”

β€œ You are my Uluru. ”  (the biggest rock in the world)

β€œ Your love is the strength that drives me to do everything for our family. You are the armor, that shields me from tears. ”

β€œ My life’s biggest security is not just in loving you, but in knowing, that you will always be there to love me back, no matter what. ”

That’s it πŸ™‚ Now just write the quotes into hearts or whatever you feel like…

Add some ribbon so they can hang…

Re-use the roll that the wrapping paper came with and just wrap that, then you have an easy very budget-friendly way to hang it…

Wrap them all…

Punch a few holes in the roll, so it can hang, and there you go πŸ™‚

(I bought some chocolates for each day and just wrapped those up on their own.)

I hope it can help inspire you too to send a quote to your loved ones today. Or share, what you might have made for them yourself.

Have a great week! πŸ™‚

  1. This is inspiring … i’m going to do some bookbinding before this year end, hopefully 2018 will be the year where i can say bookbinding is my other hobby πŸ™‚

It’s always nice to have something to do with your hands, other than putting them over keyboards, there is a book called The Revenge of Analog, talks about how people are going back to everything analog because they are tired of everything digital.

    1. Thank you for saying that, I am glad you found it inspiring πŸ™‚ Oh, can I lure you into showing those things you speak of? πŸ˜‰

Yes, I think so too; crafting is a passion of mine, and my way of living too. Oh, I have not heard of that book. But the topic sure fits; I feel that exact way.

      1. When i have a camera, i’ll put something in my blog, bookbinding is basic hoppy, attach paper and cover with string or glue, you have a book or a notebook, that’s it, but if you want you can do all kind of artistic notebooks or books, different and unusual shapes for the books, unusual materials for the paper or the covers.

If you are interested, there is a youtube channel called Sea Lemon, the owner have a playlist for all her videos for bookbinding.

  2. That is so sweet πŸ™‚

And there is nothing wrong with lovey dovey stuff, last year I crafted a small box with potions, with different vials, with colours and names that exist in WoW just because I felt like giving Princess of the Mists a DYI WoW gift.

Crafted gifts are extra special πŸ˜€

    1. Aw, thank you so. You are right πŸ™‚

Oh, that box with potions – dare I say, screenshot or it didnt happen? πŸ˜‰ Hubby is actually making some of these for his…Is the right term Pen & Paper? Pathfinder…Table…RP thing, so I bet he would love the inspiration too.

      1. It’s nothing too fancy, I came up with the idea and did it on a couple of hours I had to kill before we had to go to a dinner, and I want to β€œupgrade” it by using a different box with a toggle on/off light under it, so the potions glow during the night πŸ™‚

We’re be away until Saturday, but I’ll tell Princess to remind me and post the screenshot πŸ˜‰
(One advice: I found something cool for our Hallow’s End dinner decorations, pretty cool for DYI projects inspiration for potion bottles, google β€œapothecary labels”. Some sites even have the templates so you can print)

      2. Never sell yourself short (right expression in English?) It sounds really nice πŸ™‚

Oh, I hope you are having a wonderful time. Oh wow! Apothecary labels! That suggestion goes straight to hubby, I am sure he will appreciate that, thank you so much πŸ™‚

  3. Loved these! My favorite one was the one about mythic+. πŸ˜› Also, the quote at the beginning is from the last boss in the Mechanar I believe. I’ve quoted it plenty of times myself. I’ve got some of my fondest WoW memories in the BC dungeons.

    1. Aw, would you look at that; Zeshio to the rescue once more. I was JUST thinking that nobody really noticed that quote. Thank you so much for always reading in depth what I write. πŸ™‚

I know, right?! Me too! So many neat quotes from the Burning Crusade era πŸ™‚

      Thank you so much πŸ™‚
