During my comeback to World of Warcraft in Legion, I have discovered a few things along the way, while slowly questing through Mist of Pandaria and Draenor as well, that improve my weekly adventures.
I rarely visit a lot of other WoW sites, so granted, some of the tips I want to share in this post might be knowledge to everyone. But here goes – if it just helps one person, then it’s worth it, right 🙂
Class Trial Character vs. Pet Master Trainers
You can use your Class Trial Character to level up your Pets!
I just found this out, trying to get ready to take on the pets on Argus.
That’s right, no more flying about on one character; just place your Class Trial Character at the Trainer (Don’t forget to send over the Lesser Pet Treat and Pet Treat for the increased XP gain)
It also is the best way to optimize the XP buff from the treats; no time wasted on flying around anymore. (My Pet Charms are my Precious, right now, so whatever little I can do to save them, I will)
Since the flying changes in the last patch, Class Trial Characters have access to all of your flying achievements obtained, so chances are, you can take them right into the skies in Pandaria and Draenor as well.
Want to complete the Angler Achievements connected to Draenor? (Catch 100 of various fish)
Speed the process up by equipping all your ships with the Tuskarr Fishing Net! Simple as that. Sometimes I even catch a lot with each Mission.
Garrison Invasions for the lazy
Protecting your Garrison is hard work. But it doesn’t have to be!
All of your Guards now scale to your level, so at 110, they are perfectly capable of defending it all on their own, and with a decent score too. I discovered it by accident, as I started an Invasion and then had to sort a customer call, so I was afk during the entire thing.
I just had to take care of the “boss” like thing in the end. (Gosh, what is up with the low droprate on those real-boss-summoning things they used to drop!?)
You can proc a Garrison invasion, almost guaranteed, by completing one of the Missions you “buy” at Sergeant Crowler in your Garrison for doing a Bonus Objective.
Druid’s Dreamwalk – It’s a two way street
When you are doing an old Raid or Dungeon, and need to get to the start of it, after having cleared it – you can use your Dreamwalk ability. Simply use it, then use it again, and you’ll be right at the start of the Dungeon!
So handy 🙂
This one used to work with Teleport:Moonglade too, so I guess it isn’t new, but it deserves a spot on the list.
For none-Druids, as
Less clutter – easier to spot the Items you need
When doing the Mist of Pandaria farm, I began to notice, how your Settings in Ground Clutter matter.
If you have this set all the way to minimum, spotting the Dirt around the Valley of the Four Winds is far easier, as these items stand out against the flowers and what not together with it, once you fly up – since the clutter is less on minimum settings.
Just a handy little thing overall, when hunting for items that might not shine up and catch your eye too easily.
Class Trial Characters and appearances
Ever felt like rolling a new Class, but the thought of not having anything nice to wear puts you off?
Class Trial Characters to the rescue once more. If you are like me, and have no Mail/Plate/Cloth wearer at high enough level to wear all of your BoE armor you loot during old Dungeons and what not, you can just send it over to your Class Trial Character and there you have it; equip it and the apperance is now forever in your wardrobe, waiting to adorn your new real character!
Argus flying (Well, sort of!)
Do you feel stuck on Argus from time to time, with no way out? Then this item is for you!
The item “Falling Flame” (a drop from a rare spawn on the Timeless Isle) actually work on Argus. It shoots you far into the distance. (Beware though. When I say far, I mean, far!)
Did you accidentially take the Portal to Ironforge instead of Stormwind?
Just take the Portal to Hellfire Peninsula and then go back – and there you go; you are in Stormwind 🙂
Make the most out of your PvP Pet Battles
Do your weekly PvP Bet Pattles (And your PvP Pet Battle Achievements) on a levelling Character instead of your main.
My gnome hasn’t completed a single quest, yet she is already level 5. (It might not be a lot of XP, but hey, if you are doing your 10 wins a week anyway, why waste it)
Hiding your character in Screenshots
Want to take a gorgeous screenshot, but your Character, for once, get’s in the way?
Hide her, or him!
Just type /console showplayer 0 – and nothing will stand in your way.
Can also be used for super hard mode in raids! 😛
How about you?
Do you have any nice tips to share that improve your daily adventures in WoW? 🙂
Have a joyful week everyone 🙂

Changing the position of your Character
The above two screenshots are taken right after each other. The only difference is the command /Console Actioncam on – which was introduced in Legion (I think?). It is said to provide a more immersive experience when questing – the camera adjusts to various situations on it’s own.
But for me, the best part is how it places your character on the side of the screenshot, leaving room for great pictures.
