A journey through Stormsong Valley

My goodness, the amount of days between my posts are far too many. I am just so busy in the real world these days. I hope that is changing sometime soon.

Until then, know, that I’m enjoying all of your blog posts on Battle for Azeroth and beyond, so another sincere thank you again for keeping me updated and entertained! I can’t express how much I appreciate it; reading things on your personal blog is so much better than a datamining site. Thank you 🙂

And if I follow your blog, that is none WoW related, then thank you for enriching my life too 🙂

Okay so, I have now quested through all the Alliance zones there is, though I have not done the Jaina quest chain. I can’t progress on it, since my reputation bar is stuck from my lack of doing World Quests (Remember my fondness for World Quests, and “The Tale of “She Who Said No To World Quests”?)

But, I made it through Stormsong Valley and have picked my top Screenshots, so here they are 🙂

Random bonus info. I am scared of turtles this size. Hold on, I will explain this in a future post!

…And the level of details. Is that a glass eye!?

I had to screenshot this. I’m quite impressive!

Being able to still repair someone elses equipment, despite lying down – I admire that.

And here is a special piece on…

Alunaria vs. Quilltop

Seriously. Whoever came up with this place…This takes the price for the most frustrating cave-system to date. Ever. (Ever, ever, ever!)

A tragic story told in screenshots

SPOILERS: I never go there without my Hearthstone off cooldown.

Oh, well 🙂

I also really want to participate in Z and Cinder’s Blog Challenge, despite being late for it. I’ll just start small with Topic 38: How do you level in Battle for Azeroth 🙂

I thought about skipping that challenge, since I imagine, I have nothing exciting to say on that one, I imagine, but Z and Cinder wants to know, how I level in Battle for Azeroth 🙂

I honestly just takes it as it comes. Quests first, everything else, later 🙂

None-repeatable quests that tells a good story is my biggest drive in the game; it’s the one thing I look forward to the most. I used to be hunting for pets, mounts, explorations, achievements, you name it, in the past, but I haven’t got the time to devote myself to that anymore. Quests and story is my top priority and what I find the most enjoyable.

Having so little time to play the game sometimes works in my advantage; I arrive so late to the party, that so many things have been fixed, once I get there. Often I am not affected by all the commotion, bugs and imbalance, that is taking place at the beginning of a new expansion. Always look at the bright side 🙂

I hope you are continuing to enjoy Battle for Azeroth and the good sides it has.

Wishing you all a tranquil Tuesday 🙂

  1. Glass eye? That is a good spotting. I would probably never had noticed that, I think! And I have not rushed either. So much detail in this expansion. Your post puts me to shame (well a friendly poke really 🙂 ), I am behind with posting…

  2. The shots are an eye candy as always 🙂
Briarback Kraul – been there with five toons, still getting lost struggling with the root paths 🙂 Luckily they at least drive you out of there after the final boss kill.

    1. P.S. But I like these chaotic pigs and the whole vibe! Ever since Durotar leveling and a couple of Kalimdor dungeons I wish we got an insight into their community. Like we got one with DEHTA and murlocs in Borean Tundra.

  3. Very nice. I liked that one screenshit where you float in the air with a staff in your hands. I took screenshots there as well haha.

Omg. The Kraul is my least favorite area of this expansion by far. I’m not a big fan of caves already. I got so turned around and constant combat there.

    1. Haha, it just asked for a screenshot, right 🙂 Thank you so much.

I know! It should have a post on all it’s own. I still look back on my Top 15 Caves in WoW Vanilla with fondness, despite the frustrations 🙂 But Quilltop puts all of those to shame in terms of annoyance!

    1. Thank you – there sure is 🙂 My goodness, what is that!? Do you not have the Orca Glyph!? Once you get there, the ocean starts calling you far more often, believe me. Or how about the Dolphin one? (I tried it though, Orca is my favorite)

  4. It was a treat looking through these!

I appreciated how Quilltop was like an old callback to Razerfen Kraul/Downs. I had just listened to AliandrasK’s Dungeon Fables podcast that covered those old dungeons. That put me in a good, nolistalgic mood when I was exploring Quilltop for the first time.

    1. Glad to hear that, Zeshio 🙂 What keeps you busy these days?

Yeah, even the sound those mobs make brings back memories. Did they flee at low health, even? Now I wonder.

🙂 Look at you go with all those podcasts. Sounds like a treat to listen to 🙂

      1. I managed to get my warrior well geared. I’ll raid with them once a week and run a few high mythic+ keys, but now that they have plenty of gear I haven’t been spending as much time immersed in the world. It’s fun running that high-end group content, but I should really take some time to just explore and enjoy the world.

I could’ve swore the quillboar fled at low health. 🙂

      2. Oh, cool, I see 🙂 It’s easy to get caught in that and it can be a challenge to immerse in WoW as it is today.

Me too! I can easily hear their “cry” combined with my own inner dialogue “oh, no, please don’t pull more…!”
